5 Things You Should Never Say to a New Mom!

News moms have heard quite a few things. Some pleasant and others not so much. Lets hop into the 5 things you should NEVER say to a new mom.

1. You're doing it wrong..
Wow! You're a few months into being a new mother and someone (family, friend or stranger) tells you that you're "doing it wrong". What nerve! Whether the diaper changes aren't "fast enough" for their liking or you're holding the bottle the wrong way (don't think we could mess that one up) someone, somewhere will have a very unwanted opinion about how you're handling motherhood. When it's all said and done, you're the parent! The opinions of others doesn't actually matter. So take it with a grain of salt. We all parent differently. Whatever works for you. Right?

2. You're not as small as you use to be.
Well of course I'm not! I just birthed a human being 2 months ago! Remember? How selfish can one person be? We are going through so much at the moment. Sleep deprivation, depression and crazy hormonal imbalances all wrapped up in one. It's something that we're struggling with behind closed doors. We know that we're not as skinny as we use to be. You do not have to remind us.

3. Stop holding your baby so much. You're going to spoil him/her.
Telling a new mom to stop holding her baby so much are a very poor choice of words! I've waited nine long, nauseous months carrying this beautiful baby. Longing to have her in my arms for oh, so long. This is my moment! I want to soak all of this in for as long as I possibly can. I don't plan on putting her down anytime soon! After all, they grow up so fast and before I can blink she'll be all grown up. So let the "spoiling" begin. From one mom to another, hold your beautiful babies! In my true opinion you can never hold your newborn "too much".

4. Get some rest.
okay. This is very nice advice. However, I can't exactly "get some rest," I'm a new mother and my baby wakes up numerous times every night! Sure, I could nap when she naps, but even doing so I go to sleep tired and wake up even more exhausted than before. This is apart of new mom status. It's easier said than done.

5. When are you going to have another baby?
Seriously, why does it seem like we all get asked this question just a few short months after having a baby? Listen,We may be a little groggy from the no sleep thing, but believe us when we answer "no time soon" to your question fairly quickly! It's not exactly an LOL moment for us when you ask this silly question. But, if you insist, prepare yourself for a snappy comeback from one tired momma. We are sure to take every precaution necessary before we "have another."
